DAAD Scholarship Programme

DAAD Scholarship Programme: DAAD Scholarship Programmes have benefited hundreds of African students since inception.
The scholarships are given each year to postgraduate students wishing to study for a master‘s or PhD degree.
DAAD does not sponsor undergraduate studies in Africa.
The DAAD scholarships can support students who want to study in their country (In Country Scholarships) or abroad.
Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree first class honours or second class honours upper division

  • Age limit: 36 years.Master in Germany
    Are you an ambitious young professional with a good bachelor’s degree not older than 6 years, or below the age of 36, with at least two years of professional experience and want to further your career?
    Mostly taught in English, the courses are in the fields of Economics, Engineering, Regional Planning, Agriculture, Health, Law and more.
    PhD in Germany
    Are you an ambitious young scholar with a master’s degree (completed less than 6 years ago), would like to experience the German scientific world and earn a PhD from a German university?

  • Developing Countries Scholarships - CUD Scholarship Program

    Developing Countries Scholarships - CUD Scholarship Program: Up to 150 full masters scholarships are available each year from the CUD (Commission Universitaire pour le Développement) to students coming from developing countries.
    Within the programme for international courses and training programmes, CIUF grants scholarships for participation into the courses and also for participation into the training programmes.
    70 VLIR ITP (International Training Programmes) scholarships are annually awarded.
    All the scholarships usually covers expenses such as:

  • Tuition fee

  • Some living expenses

  • Return tickets

  • A few additional costsApplicants are considered on their merit.
    Eligibility Requirements

  • Age-limit for participating in the program is 40 years for the courses and 45 years for trainings.

  • Eligible candidates will be those holding a graduate degree comparable to Belgian University graduate degree (“license”).

  • After completion of the program, selected candidates should return back to their country and pursue work in the field in which they have undergone the course or training.Language Requirements
    Some of these courses and trainings are in French and candidates should be familiar with the language before applying for them. Nevertheless, selected candidates also need to learn French while participating in the program.

  • Membership of a partner institution

    Eligibility:
    Applicants must:
    1. be nationals of (or permanently domiciled in) a developing Commonwealth country, and not currently be living or studying in a developed country (please see the Shared Scholarships prospectus for a list of eligible countries)
    2. hold a first degree at either first or upper second class level
    3. be sufficiently fluent in English to pursue the course
    4. have not previously studied for one year or more in a developed country
    5. be able to confirm in writing that neither they or their families would otherwise be able to pay for the proposed course of study
    6. be willing to confirm that they will return to their home country as soon as their period of study is complete

    Scholarship Open for Students of Following Countries: Commonwealth Developing Countries
    Scholarship Description: The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme is a joint initiative between the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (with funding from Department for International Development), and UK universities, to support scholarships for students from developing Commonwealth countries who would not otherwise be able to study in the United Kingdom. Liverpool Hope University has one award available and applications are open for MSc Environmental Management.

    2012/2013 UCSC Scholarships Grants for 12 African Students

        Owing to part of its mission to foster relationships shield developing countries, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore (UCSC), Italy, has developed a special course to enable students from the African continent to study on a full or stirred know-how for degree programs taught notoriety English at UCSC’s Milan Campus.     Scholarship Criteria
    Admission requirements for all programs include completion of at least a Bachelor Degree from a familiar university and IELTS 6.0 or likeness if English is not the official jargon character your country.
